Hi Church Family,

We hope you are all staying safe and prepared as the cyclone approaches. After closely monitoring the situation and considering the latest forecasts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Sunday service this week. The cyclone is expected to make landfall on Saturday morning, and we want to prioritise everyone’s safety. Please take all necessary precautions and stay updated with official government warnings and advice.

Even though we won’t be gathering in person, we would love to come together in prayer as a church family. Instead of our usual 10 am in-person service, we will be holding a video call Devotion and prayer time where we can pray for one another, our community, and all those affected by the storm.

Sunday at 10 am Prayer gathering Online

I encourage you to join us as we lift up our needs before the Lord, knowing that He is our refuge and strength. I just want to remind you of something really important—our God is sovereign, and He is loving. Nothing takes Him by surprise. In moments like these, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by uncertainty, but we serve a God who is in control, even in the storm.

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” That means He is not distant—He is right here with us. He sees what we’re facing, He cares about our fears, and He calls us to trust in Him. So as we prepare for the cyclone, let’s also prepare our hearts by resting in the truth that we are held in the hands of a good and loving God. Let’s pray for one another, check in on those around us, and be a light in our community.

If you need help or know someone who does, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re in this together, and we’re trusting God together.

After the storm passes, practical help may be needed—clearing debris, assisting those affected, or simply checking in on one another. If you would be willing to be part of a team to help in the days following the cyclone, please click on the link below.

Stay safe, stay connected, and I look forward to praying with you on Sunday morning.

God bless.
