Genesis means “origins,” marking the beginning of everything—creation, humanity, sin, promise, and hope. From the first words, we meet the triune God—Father, Son, and Spirit—eternal and self-existent, creating and sustaining a world made for relationship with Him. Though that relationship is quickly broken by human rebellion, God’s grace meets the ground.

Genesis is where the story of redemption begins. Grace touches the dust of human failure again and again. From creation to covenant, from Adam to Abraham, we encounter flawed, broken lives—yet through them, God advances His promise.

He preserves a people through whom the promised Seed—Christ—will come to crush evil and bless the nations. Genesis is not just the story of our past; it’s a preview of our future—a people formed by grace, journeying toward a kingdom ruled by Christ.
